The creation of French-born, Parisian-trained hairstylist, Gaëlle Secretin’s The Hub Factory is a communal space for cuts, color and styling that playfully redefines the salon experience.

Building from a unisex, design-based aesthetic, Secretin has transformed an expansive Los Angeles loft with a fresh and unexpected eye.  Filled with vintage kilim rugs and tapestries, exposed brick walls hung with art from Secretin’s global travels and shelves crammed with books and collectibles – the downtown space feels both intimate and vibrantly creative.

Offering styling and cuts for men, women and kids, Secretin’s extensive experience means The Hub Factory team excels at working with any and all types of hair. Whether you have coarse hair, curly hair, thin, thick or in- between, Secretin and her stylists are able to enhance your natural texture and find the right cut for your individual hair type.

The Hub Factory also specializes in natural highlights. This “Balayage” method forgoes damaging foil in favor of a more organic, artistic process of adding dimension and brightness to hair. The result is a beachy, authentic look, which works on both blondes and brunettes. “We like to create cuts and styles that are easy to maintain and we are always on the lookout for the best new methods and products,” explains Secretin, “our treatments to nurture hair, rather than damaging it.”

Together Secretin and The Hub Factory team offers something for everyone, a stylist synched perfectly to the tastes of each and every one of their diverse, evolving, creative clientele.  “Our job is to read our customers,” explains Secretin, “to look at what you're wearing, your taste and to listen to you closely. It’s important to understand you and what you like – in order to translate that into a style that suits you, that feels true to who you are."
